GRAMMAR: LESSON 22 The skill for this week is using proper nouns. Proper nouns have specific names and will begin with a capital letter no matter where it is located in a sentence. An example of how to help your child with this is to point out proper nouns.
SPELLING: LESSON 22 cities, cried, puppies, hurried, stories, flies, parties, tried, pennies, fried, carried, babies, spied, ponies Just a reminder that report cards will be coming tonight. Please sign the envelope and have your child return it to me on Tuesday. We have 53 days left of classes. I reminded the students that if they want to change the grades they got on their report cards they can providing they are willing to put in the work each day. If you haven't checked out the MCA links on the resource page I'd suggest you start doing that this week. There are sample questions and by doing a little of this now will really help out your child when they test next month. Friday will be a 2 hour late start. It is also "Beach Day." Students can dress as if they are going to the beach.
