Students can bring money for the Holiday Store on Thursday. The proceeds of the sale will support Toys for Tots.
We will have a party on Thursday afternoon. Snacks and drinks will be provided by me. I shared with the students the flavor of soda I'm bringing and the flavor of chips. If they want to bring something else instead they may from home. I will also be showing some Christmas videos. One is from the TV series Little House on the Prairie and the other from the 1950s about a dog named Lassie. If you'd rather not have your child listen to these let me know by writing a note. Both videos contain some references to Christmas. No school Friday, Dec. 21- January 1st. School begins on January 2nd, a Wednesday. Over the break students can use the resource tab on this website and also should be reading 30 minutes a day. Enjoy the break. I miss my students already! Our Christmas program is scheduled for Thursday Dec. 13th at 7:00 p.m. Please have your child at the school no later than 6:45 p.m. that evening.
Report cards are coming home on Monday afternoon. Please remove the report card, sign the back of the envelope and return it the following day. I Trimester 1 begins this morning. A brand new start, with brand new assignments and scores.
A couple of reminders: A yellow homework/remembering sheet goes home nearly every night in Math. We start it in school and the students have an opportunity to have it nearly completed when they leave each day. I'm still having students that don't complete it or return it the next day. Our next unit in Math involves addition and subtraction with regrouping. Also, please continue to practice with the multiplication flashcards I gave your child in September. Some big dates to circle on the calendar. Concert performance will be on Thursday, Dec. 13 night at 7:00 pm. with students arriving before 6:45 p.m. |
