You may have noticed that some days your child brings home a white math sheet and other days they do not. The reason for that is on some days the students are doing the work in a notebook which is kept at school. Other days they are doing their work on a dry erase board. We have also been able to start the homework assignments (green sheets) at school so they shouldn't have a lot to do when they reach home.
Our focus in Math is understanding story problems. If you ever wonder about an assignment or don't understand the homework there is something that can help you. Follow this link for help. /resources.html There are many strategies on how to do some of our Math problems and so each day I will show the students some of those. It may be different than the way you learned how to do it, but my goal is to show the students that there are many ways to come up with the same answer. I also told them that if their parents show them a method that works they can use that strategy too. Spelling words are found in the front of the their agenda. This next week we will do the list in Lesson #2. We will also work on the lesson 2 skill. spoke, mile, save, excuse, cone, invite, cube, price, erase, ripe, broke, flame, life, rule
