You will notice that we have started our Reading series this week. A list of spelling words are included in your child's agenda and are also on the spelling word page. Test is on Friday along with our comprehension test on the story of the week. This week we are on Lesson #1.
SKILLS LESSON 1 The skill for the week is finding subjects and predicates. Every sentence contains two parts, the subject and the predicate. The subject is what the sentence is about and the predicate tells something about the subject. Help your child by working to see the difference between the subject and predicate in sentences. SPELLING LESSON 1 crop, plan, thing, smell, shut, sticky, spent, lunch, pumpkin, clock, gift, class, skip, swing Please remind your child of what your expectations are for them daily. I'm having some issues with a few students that are being disruptive and this takes away from my lessons and time with other students who really need the attention. My hope is that if I call you on the matter that you will find some privileges that can be taken away at home until the situation is solved in the classroom. Thank you for your help and the other parents thank you as well.
