It was so nice to visit or leave messages with all of you last Friday. Thank you again for the overwhelming support that you are giving me and your child. I truly feel that we are providing your child with the best possible education despite the circumstances we've been given.
I have heard of reports from some rural areas in other states where internet is not possible or of places where schools didn't have devices such as ipads or laptop computers for their students. We are truly blessed with being in a district where education is a frontrunner in the area. As we enter May I am reminded of the race we are running. If you remember back to my analogy back in January that the school year is like a running race. We all start off strong and fast doing everything we can. The students had the whole summer off and were eager to begin. In the middle of any race people tend to slow down and that often happens in the classroom as well. Now with the finish line in sight we need to pick up the pace of finishing strong. This summer will be extremely long. In fact even with having a normal school year this summer vacation would be the longest we have had in the past years because Labor Day is so late. The school year is slated to begin on September 8th which means that there will be a lot of days without formal education. What I'm trying to emphasize is that please see to it that your child is completing all their work daily. If it means going into the weekend to finish it they should. Remember the ZOOM meeting takes place each Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. The link will be provided about ten minutes prior to the meeting. This week we will divide into teams and play a game called Pictionary.
