Reminder there is no school on Friday, March 9th.
I Pads: I noticed a student sharing a video he had made at home along with numerous family photos on his I pad. Later in the day the I pad didn't have enough memory to perform the test he was working on. I think we need to monitor more closely what your child is doing with the school issued I pad. It is intended to be a learning tool and I think this weekend you need to sit down and see exactly what has been downloaded or is in their photo gallery. At PT Conferences I gave you a pink piece of paper that included the apps they were suppose to use. I don't believe the video or camera was included in this area. The habits your child develops now with these tools will stay with them for a long time. Let's be sure they are using it properly. Homework: I accept very few excuses for homework not being done or returned. However, I have heard the best excuse ever this past week. One of my students took a trip to Maui Hawaii this past month so in December I buried his homework assignment on a beach. In order to find it I developed a treasure map along with math problems to help him find it. Well he found the area but it was under water when he arrived. I hadn't taken into account the fact that the tide in December would be different in February. The homework that he was to do was swept out to sea and is most likely washing up on shore of some remote island . My only hope that the child who finds it gets it done! :-)
