If your child still has their February Reading Calendar at home please return it this week. This month our goal is the same as last month on trying to read for at least 25 minutes a night or 175 minutes for the week.
I sent home a paper ruler last week. Our goal is to learn how to measure items to the nearest 1/4 of an inch. These paper rulers have less markings on them than the standard rulers which makes it nice for students just learning this concept. For some extra fraction practice please show your child the gas gauge in the car some time. Also you can introduce them to the measuring cups in your kitchen. Another concept we are working on is telling time. During the time after school have your child tell you what time it is on an analog clock if you have one. ***Be sure to sign up for a Parent Teacher Conference today. It will be done on ZOOM again this time. Details can be found on the district website on how to sign up.
